Falls Creek Falls : Well.. after a 2 1/2 hour car ride & 1+ hour hike (which turned out to be extremely vertical and covered 2,200/ft elevation change) I finally arrived at Falls Creek Falls. These falls are just inside the South Carolina state line (next to Caesars Head State park) almost directly South from Hendersonville NC & Flat Rock NC. It may not look it, but these falls are about 100/ft tall and quite steep. I crossed out into the middle of the stream and setup shop. I had the camera pointed almost vertical. The running water and slippery rocks played havoc on getting my tripod steady.

NC Waterfalls from about 1992'ish : These photos were taken about 20yrs ago with my old Canon EOS 630 film camera when I first tried my hand at photography for a short time. Now, 20yrs later, i found the negatives that i had stored/boxed in the attic.. and decided to take the negatives to the camera store to see if they could transfer them to digital format. Well, the negatives fared pretty well for being in the hot/cold attic for so long.. i'm sure i could clean them up a bit in photoshop, but for now.. i appreciate how they were from years ago.
